George é um pastor que lê romances policiais às suas amadas ovelhas todas as noites, assumindo que elas não compreenderiam nada. Mas quando um incidente misterioso perturba a vida na quinta, as ovelhas percebem que têm de se tornar detectives. Ao seguirem as pistas e investigarem suspeitos humanos, provam que até as ovelhas podem ser brilhantes solucionadoras de crimes.
